My First GIVEAWAY!

I can't tell you how excited I was to see the FedEx man yesterday.  I almost hugged him.

Almost.

While I didn't hug the delivery guy, I did do a little happy dance while hugging the box.  I have read rave reviews about "One Thousand Gifts" and have long been a fan of Ann, so hugging the box which contained her book was entirely appropriate. :)

I started reading it last night and it's wonderful.  Wonderful, I tell you.  Very moving, both spiritually and emotionally.  I was crying in the first chapter.  God has truly given her a gift with words.

I took a five minute break (okay...maybe fifteen) today during nap to read more and am looking forward to reading more tonight.  I already know it will be one of my favorite books, with dog-eared pages and highlighter marks everywhere.

And guess what?

I bought an extra copy for a giveaway!  That's right, one of you sweet readers will win a copy of "One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are" .  All you have to do is leave a comment with something you are thankful for.  That's it!

The giveaway will close Wednesday, February 2.  I'll choose a random winner with the help from one of those number-picking websites and post the results Thursday!

  1. I am thankful for my husband! He works 15 plus hours a day for the Army then comes home gives the boys a bath plays with them puts them to bed, studys for the board and with all that still remembers to ask me how my day was and give me kisses and hugs when I need them!
He is my gift from God!

  2. I am thankful for a patient, long-suffering God. So many times I overlook all the blessings to dwell on one thing that may not quite be going my way. He convicts, corrects, and forgets it when I confess. What a magnificent Savior!

  5. I'm thankful that HE knows my name...no matter how small my problems are or how silly I might be sometimes, He still cares and takes time.

"He knows my name, every step that I take, every move that I make, every tear that I cry. He knows my name, when I'm overwhelmed by the pain and can't see the light of day, I know I'll be just fine...'cause He's knows my name!"
